The X fleet will not be sailing for the Gale Burton Memorial trophy on Wednesday, August 1. It will be sailed for in conjunction with the Burton Cup on Saturday, August 25.

Sailing Instruction 12. The Start is modified as follows:
h) Class A Scow races on Tuesday evenings will use RRS 26 for the starting sequence. This does not change the starting procedure for multi fleet races which happen to include A Scows on Wednesday evenings, Burton Cup/MS Cup or Savage Series races.

Changes to the Fall Color Series in September 09/06/11 12:43pm
The following is an official notice changing the race from one race on Sunday to two back to back races on Saturday at 2:00….
The Fall Color Race originally scheduled for 1:30pm on Sun. Sept. 11th has been changed.
The new date and time for the First and Second Fall Color Series races are: Sat. Sept. 10th at 2:00pm
Since we are adding the second race this weekend, making it a back to back race, next weekend, Saturday September 17th, we will alter the race numbers to be races 3 and 4 of the Fall Color Series.
July 3rd Laser Races are Canceled 06/27/11 10:25am
Sunday, July 3rd Laser races are canceled. There will not be any races Sunday night. The schedule incorrectly shows that the Lasers should be racing the first three races of the July series that night. The first three races of the July series will not be raced.
X Fleet Gluek Memorial will be raced on Labor Day 06/27/11 10:17am
The X Fleet Gluek Memorial is incorrectly listed twice on the schedule. There will not be a race on July 16. It is also listed on Labor Day, which is correct.
Corrections to the 2011 Schedule 06/08/11 12:00pm
We have three dates that have the wrong series number listed on the official MYC race schedule. The following are the correct races:
Laser races on June 18th are Summer 5 – 6.
A fleet races on August 30 are Sunset 3 & 4
A scow races on September 6 are Sunset 5-6.
Fall Color Series Starting Order 09/10/10 10:31am
To facilitate smooth race management with back-to-back races during the 2010 Fall Color Series in September, we're going to change the start order. For the first race of each Fall Color Saturday (1st race only), we'll set up a pursuit start, with the open class and class X starting first, and the E scows last. This will work exactly like we do it on Wednesday nights, so it should be easy to figure out.
X Gale Burton Memorial Race 08/24/09 03:54pm
Due to threatenming weather conditions this past Wednesday the Gale Burton Memorial race was postponed. It has now been rescheduled for this Wednesday, August 26th at 1:30 PM. The start of the race will be at the NE end of Big Island, the corner facing Lighthouse Island, and is a race around Big Island.

We are postponing the X fleet Gale Burton Memorial race until a to-be-determined date in August due to a conflict with the JO's at WYC.
2009 SI Amendment #2 05/29/09 02:00pm
The following amends the 2009 Sailing Instructions Section 4d1 and puts it in line with the spirit of the C fleet flotation requirements in the 2008 Sailing Instructions:
When indicated by the Race Committee. Notification will consist of Flag “F” flown from the MYC Signal Boat and the MYC flag pole on Lighthouse Island 30 minutes before the warning signal for any race where panels are required. The Race Committee may also make a courtesy (unofficial) announcement on VHF radio channel 72 thirty to forty five minutes before the warning signal. The C Fleet may optionally use their flotation panels when flag “F” is flown between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend inclusive.

Opti Schedule Correction 07/21/08 11:36am
We missed the first three races in the Cottagewood Series, so races 1 - 3 will be on Sunday, August 10, 2008.
We accidentaly have two dates in the schedule for the Deephaven Challenge. The Deephaven Challenge will be on Sunday, August 10 (NOT on August 31st).
2008 Opti Schedule Change 05/01/08 12:11am
The 2008 Opti Inlands have been moved to August 4 and 5 at Cedar Lake. This means there is an additional Sunset 4-6 races on Sunday, July 27 for the Opti schedule.
